Phi Beta Lambda stands for Future Business Leaders. We are the post-secondary division of FBLA-PBL, Inc. Phi Beta Lambda is made up of students interested in pursuing leadership and careers in the business world.

The Fifth Annual Western States Leadership Symposium - Laughlin, NV

This conference, on March 1, 1997, was an astounding success! A report on it will be posted here soon. Check back with this page in a week or two to read all about it and find out why you're a loser if you weren't there!

32nd Annual California PBL State Leadership Conference - Whittier College

The 32nd Annual CA SLC will be held Friday, May 2--Sunday, May 4, 1997 at Whttier College (Los Angeles area). All computer skills, interview, performance and team events will take place on Friday, May 2 . All other written objective events will take place on Saturday, May 3. This year, for the first time, all computer skills events will be administered "Home Site" at the participants' own campus prior to the CA SLC. Only the written objective test portion of the computer skills events will be administered at the CA SLC.

Please consider running for a state office this year! The future of CA PBL depends on you! Applications will be in the CA PBL SLC Guide.

Room accommodations will be at the Whittier Hilton which will also be our host for the 32nd Annual CA PBL State Leadership Awards Banquet on Saturday evening, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. The CA PBL SLC Guide will be mailed to all active CA chapters in March.

The PBL National Leadership Conference - Anaheim, CA

The 1997 PBL NLC will be July 5-8, 1997 at the Anaheim Hilton & Towers. The NLC Conference Guide will be mailed to all local chapters who have reported in (paid your dues!) from FBLA-PBL sometime in the spring. If you feel you may have a financial hardship attending the NLC, please apply for the 1997 PBL NLC Internship! By serving as an intern, you will receive complimentary registration plus a $200 stipend! (You must pay your own room and meal expenses). For more details and an application, see the Winter issue of the PBL Business Leader. Hurry, the application postmark deadline is April 1, 1997.
